Cambria Beach Elopement

One of the most romantic spots on the Central Coast of California is the seaside village of Cambria.   Nestled between tall pine trees and the sparkling Pacific Ocean, along Highway 1, it is the perfect spot for a wedding on the beach.

One of the best time for photos is a few hours before sunset.  During the golden hour, this couple  ventured onto the sand for their Cambria elopement.

Sometimes it takes couples a little more time to get married.  The bride had waited 6 years, and said that when she first met her groom, she knew it was a forever kind of love.   And, as the two of them got to know each other better, they knew it  was well worth the wait.

The beach creates its own beautiful backdrop for photos. There is not need for extra decorations when you have Mother Nature joining you for your wedding ceremony. Since the couple was married in Fall, the bride selected a seasonal bouquet with fall colors. Colors say a lot - the color yellow means friendship, happiness, and joy.  We wanted to add a little more happiness to their day with the pop of yellow in the bride's bouquet and in the groom's pocket square flowers.

Before the ceremony began, we arranged a first look for the couple on the seaside cliffs. After the ceremony, the couple walked to the  cliff where the photographer caught some touching moments and after the ceremony, the couple went down to the beach for some more photos of the two of them.

When I sent the bride a few photos from the ceremony she said, "Thank you so much for everything, it was exactly what we wanted!"

The ceremony began as the sun was making its descent.   During the ring ceremony, the groom paused as he placed the ring on his bride’s finger and pledged his faithfulness.   This heartfelt moment was then repeated, as the bride placed a ring on his finger.

Several times during the ceremony, the couple prayed to God, who had led them to this moment.   The first blessing was to thank God for their love for each other and to ask His blessing as they exchange vows and pledge their love for each other.   The second blessing was during the ring ceremony, praying that the rings be a symbol of their true faith in each other and always remind them of their love for each other.   Then, a final blessing was given for their new life together as husband and wife.   During this final blessing, they closed their eyes, put their heads together and prayed.

At the end of the ceremony, they sealed their love with a kiss, just as the sun slipped behind the clouds and cast a magical glow over the sand and the water.   What a beautiful backdrop for their final pictures!

As they return to their home in Texas, may they think often of this special moment on the Central Coast of California, where they exchanged their vows and pledged their love and faithfulness to each other.   Our wish is that their love grows stronger with each passing day and that they remain in each other’s embrace ‘til the end of time at their Cambria Beach Elopement.
