Winery Destination Wedding

I not only loved how colorful this wedding was, but the love and support that circled around Matt and Angelo on their wedding day. It was so cute to see the caravan of guests pulling up and a stylish LA crowd setting up for this couple’s special wedding day! One of their friends was a set designer and she schlepped large vases and flowers for a journey for the wedding day. The couple’s family and friends joined them as they sat around the pond with the vineyards to their backs. There were a lot of laughs for the ceremony – my favorites were that the groom had vowed to take care of his husband even when he was old and gross and when the groom did a yoga pose as part of his wedding vows. There were tears of happiness and tears of laughter during this wedding celebration. After the ceremony, the guests had a toast and cupcakes (from my favorite Enjoy bakery!).

A lot of couples ask me when the best time to get married in the vineyards of Santa Barbara Wine Country , but I really like every season. This couple decided to get married in February, around the time they first met. The vines were not in bloom yet, but the sky was blue, the weather was warm and the love was in the air! The winter time shows a nice contrast of the brown trees and natural earth against the colors of a wedding day. In Spring, the green is coming out on the vines, hills, and grasses. If I had to choose, this would be my favorite time of year at the winery. Next is Summer, the warmer months. The vines are in full bloom and you will probably we able to catch grapes on the vines. The grapes are perfect for close up shots of ring photos. Either early in the day or around closing time would be the ideal time for a winery destination wedding at the vineyards. No matter what time of year, this winery location is private and peaceful for guests to enjoy the surrounds.
