Elopement & Wedding Ceremony Locations
For your wedding day, you can get married with your toes in the sand or overlooking the ocean. Most of the locations below are in Pismo Beach. If you are looking for a beach location in another beach town like Avila, Montana de Oro, Morro Bay, Cambria or San Simeon, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "other beach locations."

Pismo Beach and Shell Beach Locations
Below are locations that are in Pismo Beach or Shell Beach for your wedding ceremony!
Ocean Cliff
The Ocean Cliff location overlooks the water and sits on a small cliff. We think this location has the best ocean front views!
Gazebo
The Gazebo space is one of our most popular locations. At this location, the couple gets married inside the gazebo and the guests are gathered around the gazebo.
Gazebo Cliff
For the Gazebo Cliff location, the couple gets married on the grassy cliff space and the guests gather on the grass. This location is one of our most popular spaces.
Tide Pool
Our tide pool ceremony location is the perfect place to say our vows and surrounded by nature, making it a simple yet meaningful setting for your special day.
Cypress Cliffs
For the Cypress Cliff location, there are 2 different spaces for the ceremony, but both have the ocean in the background.
Rock Beach
Rock Beach puts you with your toes in the sand. The beach has darker sand and rocky tide pools. It's a favorite beach since it's more of a local favorite and not as crowded as other beaches.
Ocean Cliff Location
The Ocean Cliff location overlooks the water and sits on a small cliff. We think this location has the best ocean front views!

- There is no permit required for this space
- There is plenty of parking for you and your guests
- There is a large grassy space
- There is a picnic bench for cake cutting and a toast
- Chairs and an arch are available as an extra change at this location
Gazebo Location
The Gazebo space is one of our most popular locations.
For the Gazebo location, the couple gets married inside the gazebo and the guests are gathered around the gazebo.
Features:
-The space requires a permit, so you and your guests have the exclusive use of the space. We take care of filing the permit for you.
-There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.
- There is a large grassy space for photos.
- The view is amazing from the cliff space with the large rocks in the background
- There is a picnic bench for cake cutting and a toast
- Chairs and an arch are available at this location for an extra charge.
Gazebo Cliff Location
For the Gazebo Cliff location, the couple gets married on the grassy cliff space and the guests gather on the grass. This location is one of our most popular spaces.
Features:
-The space requires a permit, so you and your guests have the exclusive use of the space. We take care of filing the permit for you.Best for just the couple, all the way up to more guests.
- There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.
- There is a large grassy space for photos.
- The view is amazing from the cliff space with the large rocks in the background.
- There is a picnic bench for cake cutting and a toast.
- Chairs and an arch are available at this location for an extra charge.
Cypress Cliff Location
For the Cypress Cliff location, there are 2 different spaces for the ceremony, but both have the ocean in the background.
Features:
- If the tide is right, the beach is available for photos after the ceremony
- There is no permit required for this space
- Parking close to the location can sometimes be crowded, but public parking is a short walk away
- There are 2 large grassy space and a concrete path
- This location is walking distance to hotels and restaurants
- Some extra are available to be added to this location.
Tide Pool Location
Our tide pool ceremony location is the perfect place to say our vows and surrounded by nature, making it a simple yet meaningful setting for your special day.
Features:
- Tide pool rocks and cliffs create the backdrop
- There is no permit required for this space
- Parking is available
- This location is walking distance to hotels and restaurants
- There are some a bit of stairs to get to this location and a little rocky to walk on.
- Because there's not much sand, the location works best with a low tide
Rock Beach Location
Rock Beach puts you with your toes in the sand. The beach has darker sand and rocky tide pools. It's a favorite beach since it's more of a local favorite and not as crowded as other beaches.
Features:
-This location is better for small weddings since there's not a lot of sandy space for guests. But, contact us and we can let you know if it works with your guest count.
- There is no permit required for this space
- Parking is available
- There are only a few stairs and easier accesses to get down to the beach
Tree Grove Location
The Tree Grove Location provides you with a natural arch for your wedding ceremony and has you and your guests in a tree grove with ocean views.
Features:
- This location has a variety of backdrops for your photos - from eucalyptus tree groves, to sandy paths, sand dunes and the waves.
- A permit is required to use the space. We will file the permit for you.
- There is a short walk to this location.
Ocean Dunes Location
Hide away in the dunes for your wedding ceremony. This location has you up on the dunes for the ceremony and down by the water for photos.
Features:
- This location has you away from the crowds and up on the dunes
- Parking is available for guests
- A permit is required to use the space. We will file the permit for you.
- There is no driving on the sand at this location
- It's a short walk to the dunes and may not be the best for those with trouble walking on the sand
Pismo North Location
With rocky cliffs, caves and ocean views, the Pismo Beach North location has breathtaking views for your I dos.
Features:
- At the far end of Pismo Beach there's tall cliffs, view of the water and even a cave
- A little quieter area of the beach
-There are a lot of stairs to walk down to get to tis location
- There is not a lot of parking, that is why it's also best for a few guests
- Walking distance to hotels
Pismo Pier Location
Get married in the heart of Pismo Beach with a view of the pier. Your ceremony can be close to the pier, with photos under the pier.
Features:
- Walking distance to hotels and restaurants.
- This location requires a permit to use the space.
- A permit is required to use the space. We will file the permit for you.
- This location is not available during holiday weekends or summer weekends due to the crowds
- Walking distance to hotels and restaurants.
