This week’s favorite –
I’ve really started to throw tradition out the window! Who says you need a formal wedding invite on paper – send an e-vite; who said the bride’s friends need to sit on one side and the groom’s on the other; and who said the bride’s Dad has to be the one that walks her down the aisle.
This past weekend our bride had her mom walk her down the aisle. I LOVE this…mostly because my Mom and my Dad walked me down the aisle. My mom raised me so she is as, if not more important than my Dad. My Dad is a part of my life and knew it was special to have him walk me down. I didn’t want to not have either of them missing out on walking me down the aisle! Our only concern was that the aisle was wide enough for all of us (including my long dress) to fit. Thankfully, the chairs moved and we could take off one row and fit perfectly.
Don’t be afraid to break the wedding traditions. And like I always say…whose wedding is this anyways?
