For this small indoor wedding ceremony in Pismo Beach, this couple traveled from Northern California for the couple’s special day. The couple were high school sweethearts who decided it was time they get married!
Their small indoor wedding ceremony took place in January. The couple had planned to have their wedding ceremony outside. But, the weather didn’t cooperate! It was actually 70 degrees and sunny the week before.
I’m always looking at the weather forecast. The bride and I talked about options because of the rain arriving on Saturday. It looked like the rain was stopping a little after the ceremony start time. But, we didn’t want guests sloshing around in the wet grass and having to sit with umbrellas.
We changed the small wedding ceremony to the indoor ocean view location. This location includes upgraded chairs and a wedding arch. There are huge windows that open up to give guests a beautiful ocean view. We decorated the wedding arch with burgundy flowers and greenery. Lanterns were also added to the aisle.
For the ceremony, the bride was walked down the aisle by both her mom and dad. The small wedding ceremony was perfect for the couple. The groom shared that he loves the bride because she is beautiful, her dark sense of humor and her devotion to their relationship. The bride loves the groom because he is passionate, caring, and loves unconditionally. For their small indoor wedding ceremony, the couple wishes to have everlasting love and a happy and healthy family.
The guests were nice and dry and warmer than they would have been sitting outside. The rain stopped after the ceremony but we were able to go outside for family photos and take the couple to the beach for pictures on the sand. I love the dark dreamy look of the photos, it matches the rainy, romantic mood of the weather.
After the ceremony, the guests went back to a local rental in Pismo Beach and had a reception where everyone could have fun, relax and celebrate their small wedding ceremony.
