Small Wedding in Cambria, CA

Sometimes we travel a little ways up the coast to our neighboring towns to do small weddings. This time we were lucky enough to visit our favorite town in Cambria!

The couple really wanted to get married in Cambria because it was their special spot!  The groom had proposed to the bride there and she really liked the coastline.  I will say that Cambria has more of that Northern California feel to it with bigger trees, rugged coastline, and a little more fog rolling in…which is perfect for the evenings when you can light the fireplace!

After scouting out some locations for a beach wedding in Cambria I stumbled upon one that I thought would be perfect. It had some rocks and cliffs in the background and an old tree to set the stage for the ceremony.  The groom was busy planning the wedding and since he lived out of town I checked in with him by email and over the phone. He said his bride to be would be so excited that the wedding was taking place in Cambria.

The couple brought their minister from home since he had developed a bond with the couple.  He showed up in the perfect beach wedding attire and preformed a simple and sweet ceremony. The couple wanted to involve all the guests in the ceremony so they did a sand ceremony for everyone that was there. They really wanted to show how they were blending all the love of two different families into one family.

The small wedding in Cambria was a perfect day for the couple and their families.  As soon as the couple said I do, the fog was rolling in for the pictures with the couple.  I really like how the fog adds a romantic touch to wedding day photos.  Not to mention the lighting is the best on those overcast days!
