On a fall morning, we met our bride and groom, and their adorable baby, in Shell Beach.   As we walked down the stairs to the beach, the tide was rising, but we had just enough space to perform this toes in the sand Shell Beach morning elopement. We had to make sure the tide was low and the wind wasn’t blowing.

The baby in his carrier watched as his mommy and daddy took their places.   They were so happy to be getting married.   Moments before we began the ceremony, they kissed each other.   And several times during the ceremony, their shared several kisses.   These two were so in love and present in this beautiful moment.

It was so sweet that their little son was the only guest that shared in this special day.

And talk about beautiful – our bride was glowing in her lace and beaded wedding gown with a laced up back and slight train.   She wore a soft veil and carried a bouquet of pink roses and lisianthus. And her groom was equally handsome in his dark suit.   And, of course, the baby wore long pants and a long-sleeved shirt for the occasion.

The elopement ceremony was short and simple, with the addition of a hand ceremony.   The couple was asked to join hands and concentrate on the gift that their hands were to each other – hands of their best friend, strong and full of love for each other, hands that will work together to build a future, hands that will wipe away tears and tenderly hold children, hands that give strength and support and encouragement to pursue any dream, and hands that will give tenderness throughout the ages.

The couple then had pictures – some with their two month old baby boy and some without.   Their love continued to glow as the photographer captured some happy, playful moments.   Love was truly in the air!

I have a feeling that this couple will be as much in love 50 years from now, and I hope that they continue to exchange soft kisses many times a day.

Best wishes to this couple as they continue to surround each other in love.
