Having a Pismo beach elopement by the pier was exactly what this couple wanted. The couple was from the Midwest and decided they wanted a California adventure for their wedding celebration.

The couple started off in Disneyland and spent a few days at the happiest place on earth. I think it was great that they had a little fun time before the wedding.

I met the groom, dressed in his black suit and shiny details for a few getting ready photos. Then, we kicked him out of the room and the bride got dressed for her first look on the beach. It’s normally during this time that the wedding starts to feel more real! I always enjoy seeing the happy smiles from the couple during this time. The couple added more photo time for getting ready pictures and first look pictures and Pismo Beach pier pictures. The weather was changing that day so we decided to go to the gazebo for the ceremony and then finish photos at another beach that had cliffs and rocks. We are so lucky on the Central Coast to have sandy beaches, hilly sand dunes, cliffs and rocks all within a 15 minute drive. We had a ton of fun going around to different locations for wedding photos.

For the bride’s bouquet, she selected a boho bouquet style with colors of burgundy and blush pink. The bouquet was the perfect accessory!

I loved getting Pismo beach elopement by the Pier photos of the couple. The pier had just been redone so the bottom of the pier has a new look to it.  This photo is actually featured in the City of Pismo Beach’s information guide to having a Pismo Beach wedding.  I was so honored to have my photo featured there.  When the tide is low it’s best for getting some awesome wedding photos under the Pismo Beach pier. The photos with the couple are so romantic looking and some of my favorites!

After the wedding, the couple was going to explore some near by cities since they hadn’t been to the area before. I had suggested Morro Bay for kayaking and clam chowder. Morro Bay is another favorite beach location for weddings. Here’s some information on visiting Morro Bay .
