Sunset Elopement at the Pismo Beach Pier

On this Sunday afternoon, as the sun was sinking low in the horizon, this couple walked in the sand to a perfect spot for their Sunset Elopement at the Pismo Beach Pier.   Though the waves were approaching, we finished the ceremony before any toes were wet.   And there was plenty of time for the perfect photos as the sun began to set, giving the sky a beautiful orange hue.

I loved that this couple had each written something for the minister to read before the vows.   The bride mentioned that she was marrying her best friend, faithful partner, and one true love.   She promised to encourage him and inspire him, as well as love him in good times and bad.   And the groom mentioned how grateful he was that the bride had entered into his life.   He promised to love her, to cherish her, and to give her his heart.   He pledged to always be by her side, with her hand in his.   He then pledged to remain with her always.   As tears gently slipped down their cheeks, they gazed into each other’s eyes with warmth and affection.

It was especially touching when the bride expressed that her groom was everything her dad had taught her a man should be, and everything her mom ever wanted for her in a man.

After the exchange of vows and rings, the couple received a blessing and were pronounced husband and wife.   They then had pictures under the Pismo Beach pier.   Slowly the sun set on this perfect day.   But, the sparkle in their eyes continued to shine.

We, at Coastal California Weddings would like to add:   Now though you are two people, there is one life before you.

And there, in that life, may you always find love.   Love and blessings to you both.
